Because Cornerstone Christian Academy (CCA) is designed to work closely with the parents it is essential that the parent overseeing the at-home portion of the education is available, committed, and has the capacity to oversee the completion of the assigned material.
CCA is a Bible-believing school that supports families who choose to give their children a Christian education based in the Christian worldview and moral convictions expressed in the school’s Doctrinal Statement and Statement of Core Family Values (available in our application package). The school also welcomes students from families that do not hold these beliefs under the clear understanding that:
1. Every student will be taught all aspects of the school curriculum including the beliefs outlined in the school’s Doctrinal Statement and Statement of Core Family Values. 2. No family will actively seek to alter or undermine the mission, distinctives, leadership, beliefs, or teachings of the school. 3. All students will be encouraged to receive Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour, but no student will be compelled to do so.
We at CCA respect all parents, including those whose beliefs are contrary to ours. However, we encourage those who strongly oppose the beliefs and values taught at our school to seek a form of education for their children that is in keeping with their own convictions.
The school operates out of Gorrie Bible Fellowship, a nondenominational church in Howick county (on the border of East Huron & North Perth).
